Pep Guardiola has praised Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League clash tonight.

Guardiola leads City to Anfield as they face Liverpool in a first leg, quarterfinal clash and the Manchester City manager has highlighted some of the impressive aspects of their opponents ahead of tonight’s battle.

“It’s perfect for him (Klopp) because he is a master at signing the players he needs for the system he wants to play,” said Guardiola.

“The three players in front are so clinical, certain balls and they punish you because they are so fast and so direct.”

However, despite the praise for Liverpool, Guardiola said they will play their own game and try to get a good result, while admitting it is a good challenge for them.

“It’s a good challenge for us. 120 minutes, we will try to play our games and score goals and give a good result to Manchester,” he said.
