Sweden captain Andreas Granqvist has missed the birth of his second child due to his side set to clash with England in the 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-final at Samara Arena on Saturday.
Granqvist’s wife Sofie gave birth to their second child Mika on Thursday night as the FC Krasnodar defender who is currently in Russia with the rest of the Blue-Yellow squad making their final preparations last eight encounters against the Three Lions.
The winner between Sweden and England will battle either host nation Russia or Croatia in the semi-final on Wednesday.
