Ighalo on fires again in Changchun Yatai home draw

Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo fired his 12 goals of the season for Changchun Yatai during their 1-1 home draw with Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League on Saturday.

Shanghai Shenhua took the lead a minute after the half-hour mark through Cao Yunding before Nigeria international equalizer for the home side in the 71st minute of the encounter after he was set up by Serbian, Nemanja Pejcinovic.

The away team were reduced to 10-men eight minutes from time when Sun Shilin was sent off for a second bookable offence and Obafemi Martins was missing for the visiting team due to longtime knee injury 

Ighalo also grabbed a brace in Changchun Yatai’s previous league game against Tianjin Quanjian which they won 3-0.

The former Watford striker is currently the joint second top scorer in the CSL along with Isreali international, Eran Zahavi.

Changchun Yatai moved from 12th to 10th position in the table following the draw.
