REPORT: Chelsea star set to join Serie A giants AC Milan

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko set to join Serie A giants AC Milan on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old France international move to Stamford Bridge from dethroned Ligue 1 Champion Monaco one year ago, but he regularly found himself criticised for some of his performances by the Blues fans.

Bakayoko has been involved in Chelsea's pre-season under new head coach Maurizio Sarri, recent reports believe that the Italian could make his player surplus to requirements.

With Jorginho joining the Stamford Bridge outfit from Napoli and Mateo Kovacic linked with a loan move from Real Madrid, the France international may slip further down the pecking order.

According to Sky Sports News, discussions between Milan and Chelsea are at an advanced stage, with the Italians eager for a loan move with an option to buy at the end of the season.

Bakayoko made 43 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea last term.
